Star Wars Movie Day will be July 18 and July 25 will be Game Day and video games will be the order of the day.”Prizes for the TPL Top Readers program will be awarded according to the total number of age appropriate books read. First, second and third prizes will be awarded to four- and five-year-olds. First and second place prizes will be awarded to six- through 11-year-olds.Reading logs are due by 5:30 p.m. July 16. And the great news is that, with our new library and great collections, we should have books flying off the shelves in record numbers this summer.”The Summer Library Program will feature Storytime for four- and five-year olds from 2 until 3 p.m. on Mondays that will include aliens, astronaut training, star gazing and shooting for the moon.“Space, the Final Frontier,” for ages 6-11, will begin on June 11 with balloon themed characters and lots of audience participation. From 2 until 3 p.m. on the following Thursdays, participants will attend “Space Academy” where they will scale the wall, slide over rocks, learn about the stars in a planetarium, experience Animal Tales and enjoy Movie Day.The young adults will have a “Minute to Win It!” on June 13 with a space edition of the challenge.
