Wilinski shines at Shawano

(July 8) – Konnor Wilinski ended a season of frustrations with his first feature win of the year at Shawano Speedway in Saturday’s IMCA Modified feature.Shawn Frelich led early as Wilinksi tried to find a way past.  On lap four, Wilinski was able to get to the inside of Frelich entering lap three and made the pass for the lead.Marcus Yarie and Jerry Wilinski soon joined Konnor in the top three.  Driving the highest line on the track, Konnor Wilinski was too tough to beat and went on to win.  Yarie, Jerry Wilinski, Jason Czarapata, and Mark Weisnicht rounded out the top five.Kevin Bethke also broke through for his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod win of the year while Travis Van Straten scored his sixth IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature after having to come through the last-chance qualifier just to make the show.last_img read more
