They listened to our concerns with reference to the construction of the new Stewart’s store built across the road from our church. We also wish to thank others in the community who spoke at the public hearing in the town of Charlton. Everyone worked together to address all concerns. The store was set back so that it doesn’t block the view of the church.Stewart’s also configured the gas pumps and lighting to have as little impact as possible on the church view. The prominence of our facility as an important historic landmark in the town of Charlton has been maintained. The view of the church for those traveling in the area continues to serve as a reminder of God’s love. It’s a great thing when people with different perspectives and interests in a situation can come together and solve problems. It speaks well of Stewart’s’ involvement with the community and the town of Charlton’s commitment to its residents.Jean WeedBallston SpaThe writer is an elder of the church.center_img Categories: Letters to the Editor, Opinionlast_img
